The SUPCO team actively participates in initiatives that promote climate neutrality and sustainable urban development, collaborating with cities participating in the European Mission for 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.
In this framework, SUPCO is a key partner of the Municipality of Ioannina, one of the selected cities of the European Mission. Specifically, it participates in the pilot program CRISP (Creating and Monitoring of Climate Neutral Zones in Ioannina City District as Pilot Activities), which aims to create and monitor climate-neutral zones in selected areas of the city. This program focuses on developing innovative and cost-effective solutions for promoting sustainable mobility, reducing air pollution, and improving the quality of life for residents.
At the same time, SUPCO has prepared all the proposals for the inclusion of six (6) Greek municipalities in the Twin Cities program of the European Mission of Cities. This program enhances collaboration between cities, allowing the exchange of knowledge, technologies, and best practices to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality. Through this participation, municipalities gain access to expertise and support for developing action plans that contribute to reducing their carbon footprint.
Through these actions, SUPCO confirms its commitment to promoting climate neutrality and sustainable development, supporting cities and communities to respond to the challenges of climate change and adopt a more sustainable and resilient future.
