After the establishment of the methodology for assessing the Carrying Capacity of spatial systems (Article 64 of Law 4964/2022), the SUPCO science team, with the scientific support of a specialized group from the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens, the Laboratory of Tourism Planning, Research, and Policy of the School of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, and Regional Development of the University of Thessaly, records actual spatial data through the utilization of satellite images (e.g., built-up area) and prepares the Carrying Capacity Assessment Report (ΕκΕΦΙ) in accordance with the specifications set out in Government Gazette 200Δ/2024.
